Tank Sweeper — 2024
A minesweeper-meets-tank-game where you navigate a battlefield, avoid hidden mines, and reach the flag to advance. Levels get harder, the fog rolls in, and the flag starts moving — how far can you go? A small passion project started in sophomore year of college, co-created with Claude for an AI class.
Built with JavaScript (96.1%), CSS (3.1%), and HTML (0.8%)

Unreal Engine Level — ArkM Pizza — 2026
A final project for my Unreal Engine course. You play as a character trying to deliver pizzas around a small, handcrafted urban city. The level was built with a focus on vertical movement with the main gameplay mechanic being a grappling hook.
Concept & Goals
The goal was to create an open urban environment that felt alive and navigable, giving the player a clear objective — deliver the pizzas — while making the city interesting enough to explore. The level was designed to feel like a small, dense city block with buildings, streets, and enough verticality to make movement fun.
Key Challenges
One of the biggest hurdles was implementing a grappling hook mechanic using a blueprint asset found online. Learning how the existing code worked and adapting it to fit the map was a real challenge. The grappling hook was not connecting to buildings properly at first — after a lot of troubleshooting, the issue turned out to be incorrect collision settings on the buildings. Once each building was given proper collision, the grappling hook worked correctly. It was a great lesson in debugging and understanding assets before trying to modify them.
Technical Solutions
The project used Unreal Engine's Visual Programming (Blueprints) system for gameplay logic, basic UI elements to support the delivery mechanic, and custom collision setups across the level geometry. No prior Unreal experience was required for the class — everything was learned on the fly.

Shrimp Detector — Personal Project
A fun, silly web project — answer a series of yes or no questions and find out if you are a shrimp. Based on the original concept and code by BocchiTheDeveloper, with edits made to give it more flair. All credit for the original concept goes to the original creator.

Portfolio Website — 2026
This website! Built from scratch using hand-coded HTML, CSS, and
JavaScript as a final project for Introductory Computing for the Web
(IT-130) at DePaul University. The site features a custom font loaded
via @font-face, a typewriter JavaScript effect, a sticky navigation
bar, and a consistent dark theme with coral accents across all pages.

Market Data Publishing System — 2024
A final class project building a small market-data publishing system using Object-Oriented Programming principles, the Observer pattern, and Singletons. This project was an exercise in applying classic software design patterns to a real-world inspired scenario.
Co-Author — "Hacking for Critical AI Literacy"
Co-authored a journal article arguing that refusing to teach generative AI in writing classrooms leaves students more vulnerable, not less, to its harms. The article draws on a course co-authored by an instructor and three undergraduate students, framing hacking — messy, exploratory, and sometimes subversive experimentation with AI tools — as a method for building critical AI literacy.
Through student-led hacks that expose racial bias in no-code apps, reveal the risks of AI anthropomorphism and emotional dependency, and exploit linguistic bias to bypass state censorship, the article shows students engaging AI with agency, skepticism, and ethical awareness. Rather than treating AI as either a magic solution or a moral failure, the article argues that hacking enables students to understand how AI works, where it breaks, and whose interests it serves — offering a practical, justice-oriented framework for teaching writing with and about AI amid ongoing technological upheaval.
Graphic Design & Animation
Rotoscoping Animation Project
A rotoscoping animation project created as part of my graphic design coursework. Rotoscoping involves tracing over live-action footage frame by frame to create fluid, realistic animation.
Walking Animation — Character Design & Animation
A school assignment where the goal was to design an original character in Adobe Photoshop, rig it with a skeleton, and animate a walking cycle using Adobe After Effects. A great exercise in combining design and motion work from scratch.
